Default Anyone Into Fighters?

i gotta ask. i know there are plenty of gamers around, but are there any street fighter fans here? i'm kind of a freak and was wondering if anyone else here digs fighters as much as i do. cvs2, marvel, turbo, 3s, mk, kof, anything at all.

no way! street fighter is too good. mortal kombat gets old quick, but it's definately a good way to kill time. umk3 is my favorite mk by far.

the trick is to find a bunch of friends who like fighters, then it gets interesting. street fighter eats up way too much of my free time.

do you know if he posts on shoryuken? most likely if he's a fan. the mentality is different when you really learn how to play. i always compare it to speed chess. always looking to counter without a lot of time to think about it. it's not all about reflexes and hands, when you reach higher levels of gameplay, a lot of it is a mind game believe it or not.

the best is when a girl finds out. she might have thought you were the collest guy in the world, the second she sees how serious it can get, they think your jimmy neutron or something dorky like that.

wow. a fellow srk member. i post there as randomsuper too. i'm usually in the cvs2 forums and atlantic south. don't really get into gd too much since it's flame central and that gets kind of annoying.

I haven't played a serious game of MvC2 in over four years, and I'm pretty much out of the tournament scene since the Seattle scene kinda died out. These days, I play a couple pickup games of Marvel when I drop my mom off at the mall, but other than that, only a couple games of T5 here and there.
