Where can I find Chimay? I've never heard of it but you've sparked my interest...

As for me, a chocolately, sweet, and rich Guiness poured properly washed down with a creamy and smooth New Castle is my fav. Gotta have the two at the same time to appreciate it, and always gotta have it off tap if at all possible.

And when I'm broke, Miller Highlife is my steady.

Whoa hey there, bud straight from the tap is pretty high class, you trying to make us all look bad? LOL
What struck me as odd was that firesquare is OK with butt light in a can, but the standard butt MUST be from the tap.
haha damn straight.
when i was a fireman. the choice of beer and at the time the only choice was Bud tap. the best tasting and coldest beer. its so good it taste like bud light but with bolder flavor.

Chimay BLUE Bottle (get that one), at any bev-mo, or trader joes. I even saw it in the Vons across the street from me. It's about 9-12 bucks for a big bottle, depending where you get it...well worth the price

btw guiness and new castle, good stuff...try murphys sometime if you haven't, its similiar to guiness, but a bit creamier, very good stuff

Whats so funny? Your reading comprehension:

And if you can find it, try Pliny the Younger. It is a triple IPA and is close to the Elder, just with more hops and more alcohol. Last time I tried it it clocked in at 13%, but there is so much going on with the hops, it is very drinkable.

For Hop-Heads ONLY!!!!!

My favorite IPA of all time!!!!

That reminds me of a wonderful summer treat. Take said bottle ( no cans, PLEASE!) of Guiness and a few scoops of vanilla ice cream and put them both in a blender. Voila!, a Guiness milkshake.

Even better, use a Youngs Double Chocolate Stout instead of Guiness.

Guiness is good but overrated IMO. Many better stouts (Youngs, Samuel Smiths are just two) are available.

I DID say ELDER....but I mentioned Younger too.

Anywho, its more important that you have tried it. A wild, over-the-top beer that commands ones attention! Yum.

I like Bud Light myself. My wife drinks miller lite so I end up drinking that sometimes just because it is easier. I’m not real big on the darker beer, a little too strong and heavy for me. I went on a tour of the Budweiser brewery in Jacksonville, it was pretty cool. After the tour you get to taste 5 different beers from darkest to lightest.

Lager? No, I have never even heard of it. Tried the entire SS line except for that one apparently.

Honestly, I probably would not try it since I am not a fan of the Lager style.

Ales > Lagers IMO.

Just trying to educate here, so dont take this the wrong way.

Believe it or not, Guiness Stout has less alcohol and a lower specific gravity ( means it is less dense) than plain ol buttwiper.

The color throws a lot of people off.

I am meeting some friends afterwork to have a few Plinys.....I need one too!

Yeah, the oatmeal is fantastic, but the Imperial Stout is my favorite from SS.

Yea I have tried the Guiness Stout, New Castle and a few others they are just not my cup of tea. I’m not a real beer pro. Its not that I dislike them just didn’t love them. There is a bar here that sells just about every major beer they make. You can get on a list to keep track of which ones you have tried; when you have tried all of them you get a t-shirt. A friend of mine has about 5 shirts.
