Best flight/hotel booking

Try leaving a day or two earlier and stay a day or two latter, if thats possible. If you can only leave/return on specific dates, my best advice is to buy as early as possible. As in tomorrow or next week. The longer you wait, the more you will pay, especially since airlines are "in the process of" raising fares to cover rising fuel costs.
Also consider NOT staying at the Belagio - I doubt you are going to be spending that much time in your room anyway. If you want a hotel with a bling factor, be prepared to pay for it.
Also, kayak has a graph that shows pricing trends - highs and lows from the previous year. Check that out to find deals as well.
Better yet, go party in Europe instead. Eastern Europe is MUCH (and I do mean MUCH!!!) more fun, dirt cheap (even with the declining USD) and wild!
Good luck!

me my bro and a friend, booked a trip to vegas 2 months ago. we are leaving SFO the day after xmas and comming back the 30th. staying at the mirage, and got a rental. we used expedia and the total was 1290 for 3. so booking in advance does help. we spent alot of time on all of the websites out there and this was the best deal for what we were getting.

Priceline? You can try it, BUT, you may not find out where or which hotel you are staying at.
Some airlines, Southwest comes to mind, may save you some $$ if you book your trip through them.
IMHO the Bellagio & Winn are the grandest hotels on the strip - they also are the most expensive. 1 advantage, staying at the Winn, is the monorail ( out the back door ). You could look for other hotels that are cheaper & spend the money you save on a show or 2 ( they are pretty grand - this comming from a NYC guy ).
$1196 looks like a pretty good deal, considering where you're staying at the Bellagio - I think the Cirq du soleil show KA is there. Remember week days are cheaper, under $70 in some cases. Also you won't be spending a lot of time in your hotel room - Vegas is Disney for adults........

I want everything to be great about this trip- limo to the airport, taxi to Bellagio (I have been really thinking about the new Trump hotel), walk around the strip until almost midnight then hit the bars at midnight when my friend turns 21 and then wander back to the room, wake up, hit the casinos, then go to a show (whats a must see show? I was thinking penn&teller or something, I'd prefer a non-artsy show like Le Reve or Cirq du soleil), get wasted again, wake up and go to a gun range and shoot some machine guns, play a round of golf, then go to a real expensive restaurant (I was thinking something at Caesars Palace, wheres a really good restaurant somewhere near the strip?), get wasted again, wake up and prepare for the flight home. Since I'm planning on spending a lot of money and a big moment of my life (1st time leaving CA, celebrating 21st bday in LV, etc.) I want to look back and say I couldn't have done better, not "everything was great but the room and service sucked". Maybe I am just thinking about it too hard, I won't be buying anything until mid-june so I should still think about it I guess.
- there is nothing like Le Reve ANYWHERE. The VIP seats = a couch, chocolate covered strawberries served with champangne... & moniters to see behind the scenes.
Gun range? you can go to the desert & rent a buggy, go for a helecopter tour, ride the rollercoaster at Ny Ny...... But wait there's more......... You could see if there is an event at the drag strip or the race track.....
Restaurants = they don't last long if they arn't good. Fast & good, Diablo's is pretty good but not quiet, not very romantic, lots of action & on the strip ( near NY NY ). Otherwise there are too many good choice's.
