Breaking Mike Vick News!!!
As reported by ESPN.com
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported Vick was cited for not wearing a seat belt during a traffic stop in Virginia on Thursday. The car Vick was riding in was pulled over because the tint on the windows was too dark.

What a total dumb@ss. The guy had a multi-million dollar career with tons of corporate sponsors. Now it's all going down the crapper and he's looking at jail time...and for what? Some stupid, cruel, illegal hobby. Freakin' idiot.

Seriously. Like the guy will do any serious time. When was the last time an athlete did any real time? Mike Tyson? His was well deserved. Not that Vick's isn't, but athletes and stars are notorious for getting slaps on the wrist.

Barred from the NFL? I doubt that. There's speculation he'll be back. I firmly believe it, though it may be in a more limited capacity.
Peak of a great career? Are you kidding me? The guy can scramble. That's it. His arm is not that great, he's not that accurate, and he'll never be a hall of fame quarterback, with or without dog fighting charges. He's a mediocre (at best) QB that can scramble. There are (or were, at least) some concerns about accepting illegals offers in high school and college. I think some grades were....adjusted....and I think there was also something about some money changing hands. Maybe a car or something. He's not an upstanding guy that's been huge on charities and big on treating his fans (particularly kids) rather well. Across the board, average is how I'd classify him.

I hope he goes down and shows athletes that they cant be getting away with this.
Roy Jones Jr just made a statement about how he should have gone on probation then banned. But 70+ dogs for fighting? that is minor in anyway shape or form.

For Lewis, he had minor issues in the past, and plead out of the major charges, serving a very reduced sentence. He was still treated much differently than you or I would have been.
Strawberry doesn't quite count. He racked up more charges than Robert Downey Jr. After 10 drug charges, yeah, you'll start to get some time.
I do hope he goes down. I hope he does some real time. History tells us he won't. I think he should do some real time and be banned from the sport. I just don't think it will it happen.

I will put money on vick that he will return, not as a qb but as a wideout or rb with oakland. With the possibility of upwards of 2 years, he can never be a team leader, a role model or anything related to controlling the game again. But he has the speed and hands.
I just hope the american population does not forgive him. Sure he can play sports again, just like anyone else who goes to jail and returns to the work force, but Nike will not resign him, and I doubt any other marketing campaign, have it be adidas, puma, underarmer etc.

wow, you all are so harsh.
He should be allowed to return to the NFL, its his job, much like i would want to return to my job after serving my time.
And he is a star, he should be treated differently. If he goes into general population, he will be treated differently. Not to mention its more unsafe for not only him, but other inmates. He should be in seclusion and protected.

Who cares about the strength of his arm if he's not accurate? Would Favre be Favre if he couldn't complete passes? Nope, he would have retired long ago. Same with any of the greats. If Vick isn't accurate, it doesn't matter how strong he is. Just like any kicker. Janokowski with the Raiders can kick the crap out of the ball, farther than anyone I've seen. But he's not accurate at that distance, so it doesn't matter.

he will get suspended for at least this season....even if he may not end up in jail he did violate the player conduct policy in the nfl and goddall wont let him come back this year. he probably will never play for the falcons again either.
look at pacman jones....he was never found or pleaded guilty and he still got the boot for a season. vick pleaded guilty to this so he will be suspended for at least 1 yr.

I hope they throw the book at Vick for his crimes, but once he serves his time I see no reason why he can't be allowed to ply his trade again in the NFL. There are current players who have commited crimes against other humans and they still have their jobs.

I have stood up for Vick through all the immature crap he's done the past few years, as a life long Falcons fan born and raised in Atl I have to let him go on this one. I'm sick and tired of waiting on him to grow up. I have stood with him at Flowery Branch and came away from a 20 minute conversation thinking he's a good guy, man was I wrong. I don't know, maybe he is a good guy that just made a few HORRIBLE decisions, who knows.
