Default Cold Remedy... Crown Royal?

Dayquil and a shot of Crown Royal. I sure hope I get to feeling better.

Wow, I'm so incredibly sick. Maybe I should say I WAS so incredibly sick. I'm already feeling better.

I've got nine other flavors of medicine from the liquor store, lol. If it weren't for us having to wait for our new fridge from Lowes to be delivered, I'd self medicate a bit more. Maybe just one more dose. I've got some Hennesey and I've never had that before.

That is all. Dayquil really puts a little extra oomph in the alcohol, lol.

If you ever have a headache; take four excedrin with a beer. Drink the whole beer. I guarantee the headache will be gone in 15 minutes. It's incredible, I figured this out accidentally when I only had beer in the house.

I'm sure I don't have to tell you what to smoke for a quick remedy.

For over the counter stuff take cold-eeze (lozenges) <--alot of zinc and gluconate and some form of vitamin C. Robitussin on top of that for ur symtpoms would suffice.

Ok now u owe me 10 dollars, paypal me it. Thank you

That's funny!

I will look into that Cold-Eeze stuff though. I've never taken anything but Day and Nyquil before.

Citizen01, I'm moving to Wisconsin in a year or so. I'll be seattledave free!

Cold-eeze is amazing stuff. And so is Crown. Cold-eeze will actually help get rid of the cold, and Crown will make you not care ;-)

Hey doc Saleen, what's your take on mixing that much acetaminephine and alkey-hol?

And for the love of all that is holy and natural, I hope that you aren't taking 4 Migraine Strength Excederin!

Is Exederin acetaminophen? Okay, I just looked it up and it's sort of like a 222 but instead of codeine it has ibuprofen (both have caffeine and acetaminophen though).

Well, I don't have Cold-Eeze (will check it out later tonight though, so long as they sell it at Safeway) but am looking into taking another shot/dose. Lets see... just told my husband to pick me out something... what will it be?... don't forget my Diet Coke chaser... it's Rumple Minze. He's going to have Stolichnaya Vodka.

Oof, your liver must love you right about now... I took benadryl once the day AFTER drinking and I was high ALL flippin' day. It was not expected and was not fun for me. I thought I was gonna die. Same thing happened with generic claritin. I think my drugs went bad or something from sitting in my car. Those were not fun days...

Crown fixes everything. Its like Pain go byebye juice. Headache, Cancer, Hepatitis C, HIV, Prostate Cancer, Ebola, nothing can survive with the proper amount of Crown in you.

BTW, Im now going to the kitchen to get me some Crown.

Well obviously taking acetaminophen (high dose especially) with alcohol can seriously damage ur liver. There has been reports of fulminant liver failure on that. Fulminant <--- really bad and fast and almost untreatable. When u r hungover, don't take tylenol or aspirin. Tylenol cause of the liver problem and aspirin cause u can start bleeding from ur stomach. Take something like ibuprofen which is an NSAID. Excedrin contains both aspirin and tylenol with caffeine but if you take aspirin and tylenol for long periods of time and high doses, you can get kidney failure. Not to commin but it does happen.

Double edge sword.

Thats why some people come into the hospital with toxicity from OTC cause they do have serious side effects.

Did I help anyone with this info?

Saleen, I know about the Tylenol/liver/alcohol thing. Well, I have to say that even though I knew about it, I tucked it away in my brain so far that I haven't thought about it lately, lol. Yes, you did help me think about my Drugstore OTC and Liquor store OTC self medicating, lol.

So in the future, I need to get ibuprofen based cold relief and Crown Royal, lol.

citizen01, it's hard to give in when you don't have any connections anymore, lol.

I hear Crown Royal also remedies depression caused by bad news too, eh? Well, it's not all that bad... instead of getting 20K back on my home refinance, they're going to make us pay off one of our xBs (well, the BSP is paid off, now the TCM will be too) with that money first, leaving us with only a few thousand left over. I had plans for all that money and paying off a car wasn't one of them.
