Default Custom Rim Wraps

A new product I'm seeing a lot of is custom rim wraps and, from what I can find on the interwebs this looks to be a pretty popular thing:http://customized-wheels.blogspot.co...rim-wraps.html

So, what are everyone's thoughts? Would you wrap your rims or would you go with chrome or aluminum rims? I think there is so much more room for personalization (if you check that link above you'll see a company that did a set of custom camo wrapped rims) with vinyl wraps but maybe that's my bias.

Yeah, I could definitely see these getting shredded if you used them on a commuter.

Thanks! What I am interested in finding out is how they hold up. Our film can generally withstand the elements but the rims are pretty much in the sh#t all the time.

Ya, it probably doesn't hold up well. Plastidip has same issue.

Luckily it's inexpensive enough to warrant it. I imagine the same is true of Plastidip.

That sorta stuff has its uses. E.g., its good if you go auto-crossing and want to prevent cone rash on your paint or rims
