Just lettin you know, you can take your time and do it RIGHT or you can keep rushing and keeping doing these "mods" as a spur of the moment type thing and totally screw up. The concept of conducting research applies to all modifications.

Sorry to be an ___, but why don't you guys leave him alone. He made a mistake, but I'll speak from experience and say my dad works at a very reputable body shop and they use razor blades all the time to remove pinstripe emblems etc. You just have to know what you are doing.

This is what you call a mechanic. This is also why I only take my cars to Technicians.

For your future emblem removals, you could just take a plastic spoon and carefully remove the emblem and then take a new wooden pencil eraser and hold the pencil perpendicular to the surface with eraser side on car. All the double sided tape will come clean off, just takes time. Using soap/water, bug and tar remover from Turtle wax, or some kind of wax will finish it up.

For egg, or even tree sap (specifically connifers/pine) the sun will cake them to your car pretty quick and "fuse" to the paint. Thus the egg/sap will take paint along with it as it comes off. Using bug and tar remover of any kind (Turtle Wax preferred) should get them off w/o paint loss, if used asap.

Using a razor to paint on a car probably just caused these spaced out scrapes on your clear coat. Using polish alone will not get the job done, but thanks GammaTNT. Touch up paint will look ugly up close. Paint thinner works best for me, but never using paint thinner before can look just as bad as it can fully remove your clear coat. sorry for the truth, but rebadging using 3M double sided tape would be better than anything, besides a new paint job.

I know my explainations are long, sorry lol.

Good luck to you,
Brandon

If its not that noticable, leaving it alone would be the least damage done. Trying to fix that, may make it worse.
