you're all so frickin lucky. i don't claim any deductions, and i got audited! long story short i transferred a couple grand from mutual funds into a bond account, and the irs wants to tax me on the full amount, even though i already paid taxes on it before i invested. i only made $50 profit because the market's so f'ed, and they want to charge me $300 in taxes, plus a $25 fee. uncle sam's getting greedy, and i'm getting angry!

I don't get why people get excited over getting money back. It's your money that you're getting back, so you just gave the government and interest free loan. I'd much rather get that money in my paycheck and invest it personally.
