its nice to know that big brother is watching, and knows whats best for us. thank you so much for getting rid of pete. im sure that this forum would have broke out in a violent orgy of destruction had he not been banished.

Tomas, be a doll & bring him back.

The 5 feet of fury is asking politely, which is somewhat of a rarity, lol. & the 5 feet of fury will be unleashed upon tcpete if he acts up again, so consider me watching out for him, too if you bring him back.

...and when we ban someone for bashing others we in turn get bashed by the people who don't like bashing.

I understand your being tired of the constant BS, but that is one thing the mods really can't fix.

If you are serious about leaving, your friends will miss you, and there will be one less standing against the overwhelming problems you mention...

We are each responsible for our own actions - no one else.

I'll let this thread ferment for a while and see what comes of it.

The folks trying to keep this place running do sometimes respond to well presented ideas and plans, but seldom respond well to threats and insurrections.

no mod bashing in the thread plz.

mods are respectable, they keep things in order, if it werent for them we have noobs running loose everywhere causing terrible chaos with their awful threads.

sometimes they do things that the community does not agree with though and i am not one to sit back and let it happen, even if nothing gets resolved, at least ppls opinions will be out in the open, and perhaps have an impact on future decisions of the mods and the forum in general.

i do agree with the ikona statement though, stealing money from honest hard working ppl is WAY worse then bashing someone in a thread.

I'll agree, Hoodie, but you also have to admit that there really isn't anything that mods can do about people being dishonest and taking advantage of other's gullibility.

iKONA was left to post (but not sell) on ScionLife so that there would still be some chance for folks to contact him, and a record of what went down. Had we banned him so that folks would have no contact path to him here, that would have helped how?

All we can do is try to get people to follow the ScionLife rules, and if they don't, make them leave.

We really aren't "big brother" and we aren't affecting anyone's "Freedon of Speech" in any way. We just try to keep things running.

("Freedom of Speech" is not a term that applies to any private site that allows posting by members. The US First Amendment only applies to not allowing the US government to censor most speech. As soon as you step into a private site like this, you are in someone else's livingroom or office, not in a public space, and the owner - the person paying the bills - can set any rules they want and a poster can either agree or leave. No problem, but just trying to correct an all too common error of perception about the internet. Also note that if any site is not in the US, the rules can change drastically...)

i understand completely and im not questioning your reasoning for still allowing him to post here, i was reffering more to why his vendor status took so long to get revoked.

but enough about ikona.

back on topic.

positive experiences with pete and support please.

im sure that you dont want to think of yourself in that way, but i dont know how else to describe it. you have absolute power over the forum and can censor as freely as you wish. you can make any account or post you want disappear like it was never there in the first place. im sure you would see things differently if the shoe were on the other foot.

i know that the first amendment rights dont apply to scionlife. thats become very obvious. however i think you should keep in mind that even though you own this web site, without people like pete that have become beloved throughout the community, people will start to go elsewhere.
