So its ok to take someones scionlife name and ultimately disgrace it by changing it to KITTENS in everyones writing about that person. A person who we all looked up to and were friends with, seems as though you are making fun of that person and making maybe a personal attack? It doesn't seem fair to pete that you can take his name and do that, when he can't even come back and post on this site to defend himself. And to the last part of that rule, everything pete would say was don't lightly and jokingly and was never harmful to anyone even when he was saying things to noobs forgetting to search and i think it was taken to seriously. I see a very very hypocritical act going on here and when you ban someone for doing those things, then you do them yourself, it isn't right. I'm not saying we have to just bring him back and everything will be ok but what I'm saying is that many things are being misconstrued and that people should realize this.

they changes it so that everytime we say pete (with tc in front of it) aka his user name its filters it and change the word to kittens.

they did the same thing when ppl were saying FREE coryjames.

like it was said earlier, i think its to discourage ppl from writing FREE XXXX int heir sigs and everywhere else.

Heh. Just wandering by.

No one ever comes back when there are comments disparaging the mods for doing their jobs correctly in people's sigs, locations, or whatever.

For right now everyone is being given time to work off their little tantrums because a friend got himself in trouble, and when they have calmed down we can rationally discuss why we should believe Pete will follow rules now that he wouldn't follow before (and of course that he created yet another ID as soon as he was banned).

BTW, ScionLife used to have a temporary ban policy where members could be temporarily banned after so many warnings to let them know we meant it.

Didn't work at all.

They couldn't post for a week or a month or whatever, but would come right back in and tear things up. We abandoned the temporary ban after we found it did no good.

I'll check in again later to see if you folks have sorted things out yet.

im not sure what exactly it is youd like us to sort out? Petes been banned for not following the rules. Hes promised to follow the rules from here on out if given the chance. im not exactly sure what it is youd like US to sort out? we'd like him back, its up to you to do as you see fit. I fully understand where you stand on the reasons why he was banned to begin with and im sure so does he. Will you give him another chance?

Most of us have had the shoe on the other foot, that is why we are moderators. Secondly we do not own this website, we merely volunteer our time here and do not get any compenstation other than your undying affecting...which seems to be dying. What I don't think most on this site understand is that all the mods do this job because they do care about this site and the people on it. It does suck that he was banned, but how many warnings should a person get, 5 slaps on the hand, 10? We are all reasonable people, and I am sure either way this will be worked out soon.

oh, i know about the warnings and all, but hes also asked what would change from that "chances" hes had before. Its been said if he fails to follow the rules again, no-one would support his coming back again. so im wondering whats left to discuss? its kinda like a yay or nay at this point... for me anyway. didnt really think there was anything left to discuss... perhaps im wrong
