Seriously. I just found another door ding in my car. I have a good 6 or 7 of them. I have never hit anyone elses car with my door. I am very cautious. However, the @$$hole in the white corvette next to me clipped me good.

Its not just this. Have you ever walked down the sidewalk and noticed how many people walk right at you, where you have to get out of the way. Or counted how many people bump into you as opposed to moving. I swear I must be the only person who steps out of peoples way.

So what do you think, are people just sucking more?

 

No one cares to show any respect to anyone because they are brought up that way now.

Though the way I look at it, everyone gets my respect, but the moment you don't give it right back then basically, screw you.

 

^^agreed, I've just given up of people today. I see it mostly in the city (ATL) as the South still has some (although small now) southern hospitality.

 

True, going from Texas, where pretty much everyone is taught all the manners from opening and holding doors, pulling out a girl's seat, etc. to NJ where you rarely even get a thank you, let alone someone returning the courtesy to others. It's almost culture shock.

But I can be a bit of a jerk when that happens and make it known that they're being rude after I just held the door open for them.

 

Ya'll need to travel more. People are wonderful, giving and intelligent outside of the States in my experience.

 

I like it here, guys hold the door open for me all the time.

 

it's all about looks.. if you look good you get different treatment and if you don't look so good...
just the manner we live with..
