Does anyone here speak Latin?
I know this is a strange thing to ask here, but there are so many people available to ask. Anyways, I am designing a military challenge coin for my shop, and want to know if I worded something properly; the coin is supposed to read "All for God and Country". What I have figured out so far is " Omni causa Deus itaque Patria". Anyone be able to help here? Thanks for any help.

What your writing literally says "All for the sake of God and the Fatherland"
I think if you put Deus as Dei and Patria as Patriae you should be good. Reason being is that both these words are modified by the word Causa so they take the Genitive case.
Im not sure about the Itaque. I would personally use Et but I have no reason to justify its usage. I believe Itaque is more along the lines of "and so" but I could be mistaken.
I havent done Latin since freshman year in college. I enjoyed Greek 100 times more so please take what I wrote with a grain of salt. I could be wrong. Good luck.

personally, i prefer a language you can use in a conversation. i'm picking up italian and man it's great. italian has a sensual vibe with the accent. just the way it rolls off your tongue is erotic.
good luck with latin and watch out for those romans. they'll crucify if you're jewish.

no one techincally speaks Latin, as no one knows proper pronuncitation. We just write it, read it and fudge pronouncing it.
I took 2 years of it in high school, myself. I remember a girl in my class who carried a dead rat in her purse, that we called Mus Puella(sp?) "rat girl".
