The camel spiders are real. They actually run pretty fast....for a spider.
The top 4 things to watch out for in Iraq is snakes, scorpions, camel spiders, and these guys.....Dhub Dhub lizards. It's tail serves as a weapon, bunch of razor sharp scales.
We managed to catch this one. probably weighed about 25 lbs. It hisses like a cat when it gets ready to attack.

Every once in a while, I get those furry brown spiders, about an inch and a 1/2 in length, running across my living room floor! That's because I have a mini Amazon jungle called my backyard...
My cat finds 'em 1st and I come in for the kill!
These spiders make their webs that look like funnels...

I had no idea camel spiders were real. That creeps me out BAD.
I once found a spider about half inch big on my kitchen floor. When I stepped on it, I picked my foot up and literally about 150-200 babies came out of it. REAL small like the tip of a pen, looked like lint crawling on the floor. I was creeped out bad and sprayed them all with bleach tile cleaner. My girlfriend was freaked out too.
Ugghhh

Want to be even more paranoid.....no matter where you are in the world, including planes, homes, cars, doctor's office, car, etc-you are never more than 5 feet from a spider of some sort

Skydiving?-parachute, pack, helmet, suit, gloves, shoes-there are plenty of places.
Diving?-inside your goggles? In the airhose so in you mouth now.
Actually spiders are notorious for climbing in people's oriffices while they sleep (usually mouth). They don't do anything, just checking you out mostly.

alright, i'm watching a show about these on national geographic right now, and that picture of the soilders holding that spider was actually shown to be two spiders that are only around 5 or 6 inches long.

^^ lol in the goggles! That would be such a bad trick to play on someone while sky diving... Put a spider in the goggles of your friend and then watch as they freak out in the air! Then again that would probably be deadly.. yea, not a good idea.
Actually you inhale a few spiders (supposedly) a night. I remember knowing the statistic a few years ago.
