Ok guys, fail of the day:
So first fail was that I was in the library from about 5pm Sunday until 9:30am this morning.
Second Fail moment:
On campus there is parking that is kinda near the library which is only open to students after 5pm. Once your in its ok, the gate will auto open. So I am parked there all night last night. I leave around 4am to go get food to try and catch my 9th wind so I can finish this damn paper. I get back around 4:30 and the deck i was in, the gate is now closed...fml...i dont want to park farther away and walk in the rain at 4:30am...oh look the deck next to it has its gates open...never seen that before, lets park there.
So I did (not knowing that it was the vistor deck and you have to pay to leave after 7:30am). I go to leave around 10am this morning and I get to the gate where the tellerwhore is. She just holds her hand out like she is ready to fondle some sweaty *****. i look at her and was like ya, i have been here all night so i dont have a ticket, can you just open the gate, thanks. she looks at me and says that it is going to be $6. I was like um ya ok, good joke, now lets be real and open the gate. Again she tells me to pay. i ask her why and she responds with because you have to (it took every ounce of me to not say this is why you work in a teller booth on a college campus).
I tell her that there is no notice explaining such charges therefore i should not have to pay. she closes the window and calls the police and the parking services supervisor. Ya, its party time.
By now i am just being rude and trying to get her attention through the closed window. I raise my voice just loud enough for her to hear me (which the cop told me i was yelling...).
So the cops come (3 of them...ya NY tags for the win) and the one cop asks for my license and reg. i give him both and he walks away and calls in my plates. he comes back and i explain how rude she was and how she still hasnt answered my question about why i have to pay. he tells me to pay or he'll charge me with trespassing which would ultimately lead to me being kicked off campus...um wtf. is that a threat? so i decide that the best course of action is pay the tellerwhore and the cop then says now pull over there...wow...fml right.
we proceed to talk for a few min until he finally lets me go. i decided the best course of action while we were talking was to be a concerned student who was too smart for their own good. I was like, if there is no sign how would i know. he answered, its in the student handbook. oh really? under i pay the school thousands of dollars a year and they still want more? i missed that, thanks for showing me.
we then talk about how i was yelling. he was like, now i was sitting over there and though i couldnt hear the words, i heard you yelling. i was like officer, my voice is just loud and obnoixious to which he replies well where i come from we call that yelling, to which i reply where i come from we call that normal (he didnt laugh...i did)
overall great start to my day...two hours of sleep on the library floor and then 30min of being hassled by a high school drop out and a cop...woot!
