(I'm surprised at how many hits that 'guy after a 12 pack of Bud' got after I put it up. For some reason when I saw it, that music I put with it just seemed to fit perfectly...)

Just made something I hadn't made for years, jerked pulled chicken and red beans with rice. Kinda spicy, kinda sweet, a little salty, and overall pretty damned good (Jamaican style jerk). I'll probably regret it later 'cause I usually make the stuff too spicy for my own good... I think that's a fail.

No, no I didn't.
ScionLife was entirely Darren's idea and he's the one that developed it from scratch in 2003.
Darren and his brother Troy were the Admins and creative force behind ScionLife for years, even after they sold the rights to it to Internet Brands.
Eventually, Troy went back to university and Darren decided he really didn't want to be involved in the day to day drudgery of keeping ScionLife running, and he and Troy began the job of considering who might work out as an Admin if they were not going to be involved.
For some reason, they chose me, probably because I was fairly level headed, and because I really wanted ScionLife to be the best it could be.
These days it is my job to sort of set the limits, build the rules, fight with the head office (Internet Brands), scream at the sales people and keep telling the techies there that "no, that STILL doesn't work right, try again."
In the background right now I'm making changes "behind the curtain", moving usergroups around, promoting new Moderators and Supermods, adding some features, trying to write rules and guidelines to replace the old ones that no longer quite work with the new software (read the new rules, folks, I'm proud of how they turned out for a first try), etc.
There are a couple of new SuperMods, and about six new Moderators in the past month, slowly getting trained in how we do things backstage.
Some days, though, I wonder why I even chew through the leather straps to get out of bed.
That reminds me, I keep forgetting to make a new usergroup just for Troy and Darren. I better make a note to myself to do that.
