Chase, you can also mix beers. There's a bar in Austin (it's name esacpes me now) that has a whole menu of mixed beers for different flavors, and they go way beyond the old Black and Tan.

I tried a new beer (well, Ive never had it in the States anyway) this weekend:
Rodenbach Grand Cru
LOOKS - It pours a slightly hazy, deep red/burgundy color with a slight suggestion of a brown tint. Large, rocky head (tanish in color) which lasts quite well through out the drinking experience.
BOUQUET - It is fermented with 5 different yeast strains which help to give this a very complex aroma profile….tons of depth and subtle nuances are all over the place. The front aroma is a sour with sharp fruity tones. As the beer slowly warms you get a hint of vanilla and caramel above a woody/earthy note with a hint of oak.
TASTE - It is sour. This bears repeating; this is a SOUR beer. As in it will pucker your lips. But it will grow on you. The sweetness/fruit background help to balance the sourness. The medium-high carbonation also helps to keep in check the sourness. The woody/oak flavor is more noticable here than in the aroma, with the familiar tannin-like quality of wood present here as well. A cherry and passionfruit flavor presents itself as well.
OVERALL - This beer is 6.2%, so not one for the novice. It is different than most of your beers. Some might say strange, but this is the beauty of the Belgians…..over 700 different styles of beer brewed in a country smaller than most American states

Never mind...just looked at their current list and I guess they don't actually have Rodenbach, though I swear I saw it in their printed catalog last Thursday.
My local pub, Isaac Newton's has an awesome beer list...It's dangerous because I live five minutes away and the temptation to go and have one beer every night is oh so strong!

Sad news....the Ginger Man in Austin, TX is closing.....gotta make room for more million dollar condos....
