Default Found a Stray Kitten

Well, it was a normal day of work at my small dealership, and I was doing normal things- washing a car behind the building, next to the used oil storage tanks and pumps and such. I heard a persistent chirping sound, but when I investigated it wasn't a bird- it was a little tiny kitten tucked between the tanks. Its mother is wild, I've seen it around, but she abandoned this little guy and took her other kittens with her. It was so dirty and tiny, I had to drop it off at home with my mom during my lunch break. Good ol' mom took her to the vet, where they determined that she's roughly 4 weeks old, was dehydrated (they gave her fluids), but otherwise in good shape. She got cleaned up a bit, calmed down, and started purring and sleeping a whole lot.

Those photos make her look deceivingly large- she's tiny! My other cat was ____ed, all hissing and being mean. We put her outside to give the little tyke some room... I don't know what to name her. Any ideas?

Those are my mom's hands. I'm taking the picture. I didn't want to take too many with the flash in those sensitive eyes, I'll try to have someone get the two of us tomorrow in daylight.

omg I don't know what's worse, ragging on his fingers for being girly or ragging on his mom for having man-hands.

Oh wait, I do know.

seriously, I like to name cats by either their description or their actions, because that's what makes them what they are.

Nothing is worse than running down the street screaming about not being able to find your little Alice and you think either someone stole her or got hit by a car.... Or draws more attention, anyways.

I can rarely detect jokes across the 'net unless they're dripping with sarcasm or marked with smileys so I was gullible on that one!

Can you believe that I still don't have a name for it yet? I was thinking that I found her by the oil tanks, maybe there are cool oil names, but I can't think of anything beyond Mobil1 and Castrol at the moment. Castrol's not bad, but it's kind of weird for a cat. My top two choices right now are Milo from the old show "Milo and Otis" or Chewbacca, because it's the most badarse name in the world and I do a mean Wookie call.

Name her, "(wookie call)" and call her Chewie, or 'Baca.

I found a kitty last year

Her First pic...9.085oz Sept. 05 That's my hand

this is her a few weeks ago. May 06 That's my head

She is now about 7-8x her og weight, and about 4-5 times her og size.

I'm thinking that Chewie is the way to go. I like the way I can call her Baca as well. She was 0.6 lbs. when they weighed her at the vet, so .6*16 oz = 9.6 oz. So tiny!

Yeah, She was little alright, but she grew up strong, and the longest living cat I have ever had (19-20yrs) was homeless for her first 6mo. The young ones name is Princess, 'cause of the crown on her head.

Anyone else on here that have found kittens ever have a problem with them being psycho? I found a kitten that was about 2 months old and up until about a year old she was fine. She had little moments here and there with scratching someone on the leg or something minor like that. Well the older she got the more unpredictable she got. She slowly turned into the meanest cat i have ever seen in my life. Until she attacked my girlfriend with me in the room over and over again until i finally threw a blanket over the cat and tossed her down the steps. We took my girl to the ER and took the cat straight to the vet and eventually she was put to sleep and her head checked for rabies(?). Just curious though because alot of people told me she was a meaner cat than normal because of the whole being wild thing.

we had a feral calico cat at work it was about 3-6 months old when it came around and we pretty much tamed it over 3-4 months time

she had 2 litters before she got fixed...

and now she is spoiled...

most ppl hate it when she kills her food like baby rabbits and chickmunks

well i found my cat at my mom's job took it home and fell in love wit him. named him beckham. this is him when we brought him home

and i have to say he is now one of the most evil cats i know. he was doing the whole biting thing and scratching thing for a while but he kinda stopped doing that once we got a dog. now he just attacks the dog lol though he's better wit the dog these days too. this is my kitty now

we also just a few months ago found out that my cat has FIV (feline aids) which we thought he was negative for so that was kind of a downer but they said he will have pretty much the same lifespan as a regular healthy cat so hey
