One country and I have really been into lately is Roger Clyne and the Peace Makers. They are not really really country more like alternative country. Roger Clyne was in the Refreshments a few years back (the band that does the theme to King of the Hill), now he's gone with a more country sound. Check out their website www.azpeacemakers.com . I also reccomend the CD Live at Billy Bob's.
