Default Horsepower Wins Races, Not Torque (good read)

I found this site in an article on an RX-7 forum that explains why horsepower wins races and not torque. I know this subject has been beaten to death, but the article really helped me to understand the physics why. Enjoy!

I got pretty far into it and then thought to myself "why does that horse have a 330 lb. weight sticking out its @&$? I think i'll come back to this post.

*Note to self* don't read physics posts half in the bag.
