I saw that on the news yesterday!
I couldn't believe my eyes.

I for one would never buy this for my child.

What kind of responsible adult ever would?

Yeah we are.
That's like enrolling your 8 year old into a sex-ed class.

I was under the impression this was like, for expecting mothers. Then I read on and it's for kids? Seriously... what the fck?

Who in their right mind will buy one of these for their kid? I can just imagine a 5th grade gym class in 5 years, with a huddle of |whatever| brother fans kicking it with one popped out breastfeeding while chatting.

God, how we have failed as a species.

and im not offended by the doll or what it does, just offended by the principle. it is my opinion that a doll like that should not be advertised as a child's play toy.

yea. I just don't think a 9 year old girl should be having her nipples sucked. that's frieking discusting and any parent that would pay money for it is in my honest opinion retarded. Sorry to sound graphic about nipples but this is just gross

The only reason that is, is because human kind's sexual maturation has progressed by leaps and bounds in the last century due to all of the hormones in the food that we eat. Boys get girl crazy faster and girl's start their menstrual cycle at a more early age. All about teaching preventative measure early. However, this about a breast feeding baby. So i suppose if you learn how to have sex in 4th grade, this doll will have been very handy by the time 5th grade rolls around.

I took like 4 years of sex ed, all throughout middle school. They taught us what to expect, the risks we are taking, etc.

Never did my sex ed teacher whip out a nipple and give us a visual aid on breast feeding.

I think teaching is sufficient... no need for the visuals at that age. MAYBE junior/senior high school

yea the sex talks are fine, they're educational and whatever. but by the age you should ever be lactating, i don't think you'll be playing with dolls. there is no need for an 11 year old to practice breastfeeding

it's troubling to think that someone would buy it, but it's even worse that someone made it. personally i think girls are still taught at a young age that they're place is in the home. we've moved on from that way of living, imo. look in the girls' toy section next time it's filled with cooking toys and dolls that push how to be a mom. don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with the little kitchens; but girls need to also be taught this is just a toy--not what you're expected to be. if that makes sense.

toys like this, to me, push that girls are expected to be moms and that it. also, when you hand them this toy it leads them to believe that taking care of a kid is this easy. change the diaper, feed it, etc. that's the easy stuff. they leave this toy at home. it doesn't show them how hard it could end up if they're still in school, or the expensive doctor visits if the kid gets sick or even the month checkups pending age.

as technology gets better, we get stupider imo. almost like taking advantage of what we can do and where we can go. there come a point where we need to say, stop.
