I love my dad!!!
So Ive been building my fiberglass enclosure for HIN Boston (which is this Saturday) and I had never worked with fiberglass before. Its honestly been pretty frustrating. I got the enclosure fiberglassed pretty well, but I did a sh1tty job of laying the mat. So its pretty thick and stable, but it just looks like @ss.
Even after sanding, it was still very wavy and it had lots of "craters" that needed filling in. I really wanted to paint it, but I was so frustrated with how it looked, that I had convinced myself to just wrap it in suede.
The whole time I was working, my dad was just chilling in the background watching me get ____ed off. I finally told him that I gave up and I was just going to smooth it out enough so I could wrap it in suede and I went to get food...
When i got back, my dad had pulled out his old bodywork skills and to my amazement, had smoothed out most of the enclosure. He was showing me the correct way to use the bondo, and how to sand properly, etc.
Because of this, I should have my enclosure sanded perfectly tomorrow, prepped by the afternoon, and painted by night. And I have a my dad to thank!!!!
