impacted wisdom

I feel for ya. I had all 4 of mine removed, but had some complications due to the root structure of the lower two. These complications caused SEVERE pain that lasted much longer than the typical "few days" that I was initially informed. Dealing with that pain was every bit as bad as a broken bone.
Looking like a chipmunk with pool ***** shoved in its mouth didn't make me feel very good about the situation either.
To top it off, I had the procedure done on Valentine's Day. Thanks a lot, Cupid!

my wisdom teeth removal was eeeeasy breezy. honestly, if you just do everything the doctor says to prevent pain and swelling, you will be just fine!!!!! IMAGINE THAT!!?? the doctor was right. i never had any bruising, swelling or ANYTHING. in fact, i went out that very same night.
so how did it go?
so how did it go?

when I got mine done...I was given the IV to knock me out. I woke up in the middle and heard the doctor and his helper talking about the weather...freaked me out a little. Long story short...I had it the worst of anyone I knew. all 4 were impacted....Vicodin wasn't powerful enough to numb the pain. I was perscribed a heavy dose of percosett to finally calme me down, the next 4 days were soup, hallucinations, and long periods of sleep.

I feel you, Vicodin did nothing to me. I was with one valium and one vicodin every 3 hrs ...I still didn't sleep 2 days from the pain.

I had all 4 of mine removed a few years back. I got the gas. That was a trip. The whole thing took about 5 seconds as far as I can remember. The dentist told me to count backwards from 10 to 1. All I remember is, "Ten, nine, eight, seven, six... hey, why is my mouth packed with pieces of bloody cotton wool? Oh cool, it's over!"
