Default June Calendar Photo Contest

CONTEST CLOSED CONTEST CLOSED CONTEST CLOSED CONTEST CLOSED
CONTEST CLOSED CONTEST CLOSED CONTEST CLOSED CONTEST CLOSED

Hey guys, its time again for the Calendar contest. Submit photos of your ride and on July 1st I will be choosing the top 12 photos for the 2006 Scion Life calendar. I will be including 4 xAs, 4xBs and 4tCs.

Your photos must be at least 1024x768 in size. Please do not use the 'img' tag in this topic, just link the photos like you would a web page. I will add your name to the list below and remove your reply when I have saved your photo.

Your photo must be layed out in the landscape layout (wider than tall) and not portrait (taller than wide).

No superimposed logos, watermarks or dates are allowed... just the photo pure and simple.

By submitting your photo you are allowing Scion Life to use the photo as it sees fit on this project. You are also testifying that the vehicle in the photo belongs to you or you have the permission of the vehicle owner.

MAKE SURE TO TELL ME WHERE YOUR PHOTO IS SET so I can include that in my description below. Thanks.

Matts xB: Please let us know where your photo was taken. The photo has been saved and entered.

Lonely Raven & Fujuz_xb: I can think of a BUNCH of good places in Chicago.... Wrigley Field? The fountain from Married with Children? Navy Pier? Go snap some pics!

scionscorpion: Photoshop is allowed, but the theme is landmarks this year, so you would have to paste the Statue of Liberty in the background or something. The landmark does not have to be world-famous, it could even be a local landmark, but the more recognizable the better.

koasterking: The person's real name, screenname and location will be featured on the page. There is also a spot for the photographer's name if different from the car owner.

ScionxR: Photos are due by July 1st... but all you have to do is post a link to the photo here and I will have it. You don't have to "send" it to me via mail or anything.

BCS: Get your ___ over to Queen Anne and have Josh snap some with the Space Needle in the background.... or maybe the ferry docks... or ohhhh, the new Hendrix Museum would be sweet.

cutest_dimples: Yes, you may submit ANY photo.... the winners will be chosen based on photo quality, vehicle style and landmark recognition.

eujin: Your two photos have been saved here and entered.

The theme for the 2006 calendar is Scions and Landmarks

I think it's a great theme! Problem is, When I think of "Landmarks" I too, imagine easily identifiable locations. I've never been to, let's say... Mt Rushmore, but I would recognize it immediatly as a landmark. I would also recognize White Castle as a landmark too. hehehe

SEATTLE OWNERS!!
In case I can't get a chance to go up there, would be awesome for someone to get up to Kerry Park in the Queen Anne neighborhood, and get the whole Seattle skyline in the background. I'll try and head out there tomorrow if the parts department hasn't gotten hold of my car before then to add all my mods (all interior, so it won't effect my car's appearance in the pic) But that or Pikes Place Market (good luck getting a clear street shot of that on the weekends... YIKES)

k all, in reply to myself I went up to Kerry Park and have an amazing shot of my BCP and the entire Seattle skyline. I have NO idea how to get it from my digital camera into the comp, let alone get it to the right specs. Any helpers? :D

How new of a camera is it? I got mine 3 months ago, and usually they come w/ computer software and an adaptor that plugs into a USB port and there's a thing to put the memory stick in.

OR, you can go to a camera store or Walmart and have them take the pics from the memory card and put it on a picture CD. Then, you can upload the pics and set up a site ( Either with imagestation or photobucket, etc.).

Yeah, I'm the master of losing crap so god only knows where any adapters or software may be, but it's new. It's a Canon A60 or A70 or something... I'll do the photo cd thing. Anyone know how to adjust the size of it after that? (looking for some kind of program that's a free download)
