Laptop reccomendations around $900?
Anyone have a good laptop recommendation? Looking to spend between $750-$900.
Preferably Windows XP but if it has Vista must have at LEAST 2gb ddr2 ram. Don't need the greatest video card in the world (the most advanced game I really plan on running would probably be nothing more than half-life 2).
Was planning on getting rims for the tC but because of the direction school is taking me in (and my computers ridiculous unreliability). I must invest in a laptop..not necessarily a bad thing but I would rather have bought the rims lol.
Anyway, anyone have some good recommendations for me to start my research off with? So far I'm favoring HP but if anyone has other recommendations that would be great! I'm aware of sites with all kinds of reviews and stuff but I figured it couldn't hurt to ask SLers there opinions either!
Oh and I plan on staying away from refurbished stuff..don't ask just my own paranoias.

Got a Toshiba with 2gig ram, Vista, and DVD-RW for $799 about 5 mos ago, and I love it. I recently bought Adobe Premeir elements bundled with P/S elements for 129, and put together a year's worth of baby clips for the grans with it. It wasn't until the vid was in the 60 min range with soundtrack and transitions did the program start to slow down. Trimmed it down some, and it burned a 50 min DVD in 45 min. Seemed pretty slick to me.
