Male pill
Male pill
It's been on the radar for years, but now researchers say a male birth control pill is within reach. Whether men will have any interest in using it is another matter.

Actually, I have more to say about it. Just as a man should not solely rely on a woman to be taking her birth control pills, woman should not solely rely on a man to do the same. Of course, if the two people were committed and in a good relationship, I'm sure trust could be established.
But it's great for men to have more options!

a male pill? we can't get pregnant. besides, it is just a ploy by women to make men easier to control!
course i like the idea of being able to take responsiblity in making sure i don't unninentionally sow some wild oats. but i a can barely remember to take my multivitamin everyday...

heard about this many years ago(i subscribe to pop.sci), problem is, it's not coming anytime soon.
& let's pretend it's 100% safe.
#1 problem, is guys are not going to goto the doctor to talk about their junk. We aren't programmed to goto the doctor like you ladies are, most guys around 20-35 i know haven't been to the doctor for near anything in the last 10 years, and the last time they went for a check-up, their mom took them.
If they put it next to the condoms in the supermarket, then guys are going to get it.
The problem is marketing this thing, a commercial needs to come out and say "guys, are you really going to trust that the woman you're doing is on the pill like she says she is?"
that right there would get lots of guys to get it, again if they don't make you goto the doctor.
i'm sure like myself, a lot of guys know someone or know a friend of a friend who was duped by a girl and now have a kid.

Wasn't there a male birth control that they used pond scum to figure out how it would affect sperm? They found a drug that would make the tails on the sperm stop moving. Thus, immobilizing the sperm and making them unable to swim to fertilize an egg.

ANY guy who really wanted kids(like myself), would have no problem finding a woman who would want the same.
I doubt many couples use 2 forms of birth control. I think this pill would mostly be for the single, or non-commitment type guy looking to have unprotected sex.
