So last night I was leaving my restaraunt and I was in a slight hurry to get home, and about half way there I passed a parked cop and naturally look down at my speed and sure enough I was doing about 10 over, I seen him turn on his headlights and proceed to catch up to me, before he even turned on his lights I went ahead and pulled over at the next parking lot, he pulls behind me and turns his lights on.
At my restaraunt I give all law enforcement 1/2 off there meal, sometimes Ill comp the whole the thing cuz there are a few Cool Cops here. This guy eats at my store all the time and I have given him several free meals and at least a few hundred dollars in discounts since I have been open. He ate there earlier that night, as we small talk about this and that he proceeds to the rear of his patrol car and calls me to come meet him, sure enough he had written me a 180 dollar ticket...... told me "policy on this street is 10 over gotta give a citation, If I would have clocked you a 1/2 mile up the street I could have given ya a warning, sorry its our policy around this time of night and I gotta follow the rules" I was like oooooook then whatever took my ticket and went on my way.


I mean dont get me wrong I was speeding and I payed the ticket this morning but still, isnt that kinda shaddy?
I laughed about it though, no worries on my part its my 2nd ticket ever, but anyways this is the good part......
Today this same guy comes into my store to eat with about 10 of his buddies and his signifigant other.......well when it was time to pay, everyone but him got free meals, his old lady got half off, and I charged him in full LOL
he said to me whats up with that? I thought we always get 1/2 off?



He had the nerve to ask me why he didnt get a discount, and I smiled and said "sorry man our policy is that I can only do discounts between 11am and noon, If I would have got you a 5 min earlier, you my freind would also eat free, Im really sorry sir but its our policy and just like you fellas I gotta follow the rules"

his buddies were cracking on him it was great.

just remember that the cop knows where you work and what you drive and where you go everyday, i think he can more than even the score.

Yeah I was kinda stressing that the whole he knows where I work and all but man I had to do something, I mean I know all the laws and I did pay my ticket cuz I was in the wrong, I was talking to one of the other cops about that as well, he told me, well he didnt have to give you a ticket, you really dont have to give him a discount, and his SGT's eat here all the time like everyday, they thought it was hillarious!
But I had to do something man, cuz there are far and few times when you can get them back, and this is probably the only way that I can do it and not cross the line LOL, and besides the look on his face was pirceless!!!

 

hahaha... funny. he deserves that, and the nerve to continue to expect a discount after the kindness you have shown law enforcements in your area to not get the same respect in return for such a minor violation....

I think it's fair, he didn't HAVE to give you that ticket.

I got pulled over not long ago on the way to work going 74 in a 60, at 2:45 AM and just got a warning. The officer asked me if I knew how fast I was going and I told him "no".

He told me, and I said that I didn't realize I was going that fast and he said to slow it down,

That's without giving him 1/2 off dinner!
