Need a four door...any suggestions?
Hey guys, the time has come for me to trade in my tc for something more "professional" and with 4 doors and more room. Im hoping to trade my tc in for something of similar value. i really dont want to spend more per month than i am now which is $350.00. Any suggestions or opinions would be greatly appreciated.

my pick is subaru legacy 2.5 GT. 4 doors, 5 seats, 5 speed manual or automatic, all-wheel drive and 243 bhp turbocharged engine.
even a fully loaded limited model is around 30k. and the spec b has sportier suspension and a 6 speed manual.
and since it is a turbo, it is easy to make over 300 bhp with some increase in boost and tuning.
the only problem might be gas mileage and it needs premium, but it is very awesome car.
as for the TSX, it is a nice car, but all its power is top end, and it isn't that powerful since it is an n/a straight 4. while it is fine with 1 or 2 people in it, you might really have to work it hard with a full load of people which could be kinda noisy with that engine screaming into v-tech lift.

$350/mo for 5 years at 6.5% is about $18000.
That is precisely what my loan is for, and that was a good rate at the time (2005).
Less if you have negative equity.
More if you can get a better interest rate.
Sorry man, unless you've got a big cash down payment, you're still stuck in the realm of econoboxes. Acura/BMW/V6 sedans/etc are generally out of the picture, even in most cases used versions. A lot of people don't realize how much things actually cost nowadays.
New cars in range, all MSRP, all super-basic versions-----
Subaru Base Impreza (not wrx) --- $19k
Subaru Base Legacy --- 21k
Toyota 4-cyl Camry --- $19k
Hyundai Sonata --- $18,700
Nissan Altima 4cyl --- $19,900
Pontiac G6 ---$19,200
Honda Civic --- $15k on up
Honda Accord 4cyl ---21,000
As far as recommendations, any of the above should be fine for that specific purpose. I just dont know enough to say one's better than the other, farther than what you could read in the magazines.

also, since this is looking to be a business expense, maybe you can look into whether or not it would be a tax write-off since your job would necessitate it.
but why not trade-in for an xB? 4 doors, roomy and comfy and would have great visibility for your clients to see out and around.

well i probably wouldnt' be putting much (if any) as a downpayment. just trading in my car. I'm definitely going to be getting a used car. so I'm thinking something along the lines of $12-14000 due to my guaranteed negative equity. so i good used 4 door car for that price.
