Default !!!!!NEED HELP!!!

How does the paypal auction payment works?
I have someone who wants to buy my car but he told me he's a marine who deployed in West Africa right now, so he has an agent to come and pick up my car, he's already sent the payment to my account but the payment stated as temporary hold, he told me all I need to do is to go to a western union office to send a payment of $400 fee to the agent's head department then after that the money will be credited to my account.
Is this safe? Can I trust this transaction?
Thanks yall

Be VERY SURE this isn't a scam. Every scammer on craigslist claims they're military, makes me sick. If it seems to good to be true, it prob is.

I recieved this email from paypal which gave me a transaction ID, the amount of the payment and it inlcuded this:

That sounds like a scam. If I were you, I'd stick to dealing with someone in person, in cash.

Edit: Also, West Africa is a very broad description of where he's at. And the email address "@mail.com" shouldn't it be "@paypal.com" considering they can probably afford their own email client? Just saying.

Edit 2: And if you copied and pasted that email verbatim, the grammar is incorrect. Another sign it's a scam.

Like jon said, paypal has their own domain, the @mail.com is a serious red flag.

Do not send the money, this is a scam and this email is not from paypal, it's from the scammer.

Also think about this: If he was going to send his "agent" to pick up the car, why wouldn't he just pay them?
