Need Some Advice.... Mac Vs. Pc
Hey guys Im getting ready to purchase a new pc or laptop, I really havent used anything but pc for several years and the last time I used a mac, the screen was green and I was hunting food on Oregon Trail
Is mac the way to go, or should I stick with pc.
Im looking for a machin that is media and user freindly.
I dj and do alot of producing (just for fun) and I hear nothing but good things about mac and its media madness.
Is mac that hard to learn?
Is it user freindly?
Please help my out homiez
thanks

Mac. It just works, plain and simple. No fuss, no muss, just boot up and go. After working with this POS Dell for the last year at work, I swore off PC's.
Also, the Mac isn't just running the next generation OS, it is already upgrading it. Vista comes out this summer. Vista security patch 1.00001 out right after that, and will shortly be followed by 1.00002, 1.00003, 1.00004....

One of the few valid reasons I know of to go PC is if one is a gamer, or if there is one piece of software that you cannot live without, and it will not run on a Mac (remember, a Mac can also fire up XP these days if it has to...).

Mac's cost more than PC's because Apple is the only manufacturer that makes them. I'd get a PC and dual boot Mac on it which would turn out to be a cheaper and more upgradeable computer.

actually that is just a myth... apple dont cost morethen pcs .. it just looks likethat, but compared side to side bringing a pc up so its comparable to mac will burn a huge hole in your pocket.. I have several hundred comparission articles when i was picking my computer pm me if you want to see them.

I beg to differ... A Toshiba Satellite P100 customized up to about the same specs as the 17" Powerbook is $2289.90 while the Powerbook is at $2799. How does $510 of savings sound? Here are the links, I don't know if the Toshiba one will work since I customized it but if you want you can customize it yourself to get the same price.
