not another computer question
this time its about my monitor
trying to play computer games on it... its a westinghouse 17"x7" wide screen 1280x768
the whole screen shifts 2-7/8" over to the left, on the old video card then i upgraded my video card to a diamond stealth s85 w/avec radeon 9250 and that did not fix the problem
my processor is a intel celeron 2GHZ, 512 memory, winxp
heck i even tried to load it up on win2k-pro (duel boot) and gave me the same results heh
and my monitor is a westinghouse 17" wide screen lcd (1280x76 and when i try to mess with the horizontal position it helps some but not enough
messed with the video settings in windows but with no luck
have the currant DirectX
i did find the problem but not the fix...
its my monitor , mines @ 1280x768 and the game setting is set for 1024x768
and when i switched out my monitor for an old CRT one it fixed it the problem i was kind of hoping there was a fix some where in the settings somewhere i don't want to go back to using CRT monitors
i just like to know a fix for this and i would like to play computer games using my wide screen monitor...

The game might not support the widescreen or the drivers. Make sure you got the software installed for the widescreen. Sometimes the games will stretch to fit, sometimes they go gimpy. Try setting the windows resolution to 1024x768 then try the game in the same resolution. See if that does anything.
