Here's 2 of my cats, Ivan and Taz
Here's Princess a few days before I got her,
she was under 10oz and had an eye infection. The vet didn't think she we would live, 3 weeks later she had gained an ounce a day and turned into this

Not the best picture...
Not my bird either My fiance's family owns the largest exotic bird aviary on the west coast so I spend a ton of time playing with the birdies, I got to watch that guy grow up too.

Ok, my turn...in the order we got them:
Oz, the household OG - found him under a bar when he was about 2 months old...lured him out with a slim jim & he's been here ever since:
Lucy - in a moment of weakness, we bought her at a pet store. Never again, and since then we're very big into rescue, adoption, and responsible high-end breeders...but she's a sweetheart. Today is actually her birthday, and notice the heart on her markings - she also has a level 2 heart murmur...but she's fine.
Then we bought our house, so we no longer had to limit ourselves to cats. Along came Loki, who we got from the local SPCA...can't believe someone actually gave him up. He's a super-smart, independent, obedient, gorgeous example of a Husky. Glad they did though.
This one is the reason for my broken heart...Jesse James - he was a Dogo Canario/supposedly Akita mix. We met mom - definitely a Dogo...not sure about dad though. We got him as a puppy from a local pound & found out at around 8 months old that he had ridiculously terrible hip dysplasia - we had one total hip replacement done, followed by two more surgeries to correct complications, and were planning to get the other one replaced when his knees started to dislocate. Not wanting to put him through 2 more years of surgeries & recovery, we said goodbye to him about a month ago. I'm having a hard time even typing this...RIP big guy.
Now we have a one-dog house & it's too quiet...so we just put a deposit on a male chocolate lab from a local breeder. Here are his 'parents'.
Mom 'Sadie':
Dad 'Behr' as a puppy, then current:
And that about covers it. Thanks for reading. You all have awesome pets - give them a hug, cuz you never know when you won't be able to anymore.
