Scion in The Fast and the Furious 3: Tokyo Drift
I saw some pics of Fast and Furious 3 and saw an XB in it. I think the TC also made it, which I'm hoping it does.

honestly since the first movie came out its only made tuners look worse of incourage alot of people to do worse things to there cars. i don't think its great to have your car in the movie. reason why civics still take alot of ____ is from the original.

the movies only encourage people to go even more rice
but this 3rd one is purely crazy jdm cars. i hope maybe this movie will give jdm a new meaning, it may also ruin the jdm idea too. who knows, we'll see
but from the pics i've seen, they have the cRAZIEST cars haha

yea he's right. Civics did get a worse rep. after the first movie because everyone wanted to put indiglo bulbs and neon kits on their cars. I drove a '95 civic (stock looking except for drop/wheels/tint) and people would always want to come up and race me. I was fast with the swap/turbo, but still, having to prove to everyone got old. I really didn't care after a point and would let people think they won...so they could go home and tell everyone about it at their HighSchool the next day.
A scion would be nice to not have to worry about all of that crapola.

Wow... the title is so contradictary.. scion... drift.. 2 words that shouldnt be anywhere near eachother.. scions are great cars but not drifters... hell scion doesnt even make a rwd car.. yayah i know someone will come in and say oh well there is a fwd civic drifter.. but how often does he finish in the top 10? never. see. But beside that i dont see why anyone should spend 9$ for a movie ticket to see ricers.

I drive an automatic but my trick to drifting in my Xa is like he just said, get it up, then punch it in 2nd and cut the wheel some I have this curve road where I live and i can scream my tires around it, just slide around it, Im gonna try and get video of it once i get my new tires, yes because theyre bald from drifitng. You can drift in a scion, it just takes alot more work and skill, and its a bit more dangerous, not as much control as youd have with a RWD car, but that makes it all the more of a challenge in my eyes. Whats really fun is using the overdrive wqhen your drifting. I go full throttle 0-40 then punch the overdrive on and the VVT-i kicks in and it just keeps going, like the engines way of saying "who needs to downshift"?

I dont remember the civics in fast and furious being "riced out" weren't they just black with underbody neon? It was all the other cars that were a little over the top. (nissan, toyota, VW)
Now just because scions can't drift doesn't mean they can't be in the movie. Im pretty sure there will be a bB or 2 making it into some background shots. Now I don't see why the heck there would be a tC in Tokyo.

"and the VVT-i kicks in "
Hate to break it to you, but this isn't VTEC. VVT-i doesn't "kick in".
Makes me think of those "VTEC JUST KICKED IN YO!" pictures.

I hope the tC isn't in the movie. I don't need another reminds of how riced out the car can get. BTW, if any of you have the IIP up in Denver with a Kaminari body kit, rear wing thats even with your roofline, and a muffler tip that a football could get stuck in, you are the definition of rice.

I guess alot of people do like exclusivity. Personally my being impressed with the tc is in direct proportion to the price. If the sticker were $5K higher i'd be driving something else. I believe what we know of as an IS300 is an average car in japan. Or a silvia for that matter. If I were there, there is no way i'd import one.
