yeah, I am positive that it went thru a design agency (I wonder who???) but I wonder what factored into the logo. when mikeC mentioned the fish bulb, and I thought back to the story, it blew my mind...just sounded so contrived...

some people hate the logo. I, for one, couldn't stand it, but after having it right in front of me for several thousand miles, it's started to grow, I guess.

regardless, any copyright, trademark, etc is only as good as the money that stands behind it, and unless microsoft has Some Super Software Somewhere, the scion logo isn't in too much jeapordy of being challenged.

This is kinda like the Apple/Lugz controversy - the Lugz ad from a few years back and the Eminem iPod commercial... Lugz/Apple

There will be similarities when big ad agencies do these things - after all, imitation is...

I wouldn't look too much into it - these aren't competing companies, after all.

^thats totally true...I've always thought they were very eerily similar, and then once I remembered the fish bulb story i tripped out. The mktg dept over there comes up with some pretty off the wall stuff, yet is very successful at it, and it just makes me wonder...
