ScionLife Community Gallery Tag Project
OK guys, I made some upgrades to our gallery that allows ANYONE to link a word or phrase to any image. This is known as 'tagging' and it will allow for better searching of images, as well as some pretty fun random bouncing from image to image.
When you are viewing an image page in the gallery you will see a box to the left of the image that says 'add new tag'. by typing in a descriptive word or short phrase and hitting enter (or the button) you will link your description to that image.
We have thousands of images in the gallery that are not yet tagged, though, and we need to get some accurate tags on them so they will come up in searches, etc. Luckily, there is a tool on the site that will allow you to find images that aren't yet tagged.
https://www.scionlife.com/gallery/archive/
There are currently over 740 pages of images in the gallery, and this tool lists them in the order they were uploaded. It shows who uploaded them, when they were uploaded and the tags that are associated with it (or the lack of tags).
I want a bunch of ScionLife members to take a page and add a few tags to every image on that page. There are fifty images per page, so it should take anywhere from 10-20 minutes to add a few tags to each one.
Basic tags should include the following:
Vehicle Model (scion xa, scion xb, scion tc, etc)
Color: (red, yellow, etc)
Camera Angle: (front angle, rear angle, side profile, etc)
Modifications: (tinted windows, black wheels, fender flares, etc)
In addition, you can add more descriptive tags as you see fit, like grass, interior, underbody lighting, etc.
I am going to take page one. Lets see how many people will "sponsor" a particular page and how quickly we can zip through these.
ONLY REPLY TO THIS TOPIC IF:
- you are going to "sponsor" a page -- take the next page in order, don't skip around
- you have finished a page, then tell us which page you finished
- you have a question about a particular image and how you should tag it
(make sure to post the image in question, or at least the page number)
Let the games begin!

Can you lengthen the tag character limit? "Blacked-out headlights" won't fit.
Also, if there is an incorrect tag, like, BSP instead of BOP, can anyone edit that? *edit* I figured out how to work that arrow to the right of the tag, nevermind.

Feel free to tag any useful information that you want as far as colors go. Once we get a lot of photos tagged then the moderators will start cleaning up tags... renaming and grouping similar tags, etc. For now just feel free to dream up anything that you think will be useful and zip through them.
I think the most important thing is that we tag the make and model onto the image. 'scion xa' 'scion xb' and 'scion tc' are the tags we should use.
Also, lets try to go in order on the page numbers... that will make them easier to track... if we start from the beginning instead of jumping around.
Wow, you guys are already doing awesome!

Sorry guys, I had to make a little code change that rearranged some of the images on the pages... there are now only 400-ish pages, not 700+.
The images were being duplicated on other pages, now each image is only represented once.

OK so it appears that members cannot edit tags once they have been entered. Moderators can edit them. Is there a way for members to notify moderators if a tag is incorrect? Say, something similar to the way the flagging posts system currently works?
