But is it worse that someone coined a term about it? Or that two people wrote a book about it? Or that CNN thought it was actually a worthy story to publish... anywhere? Or that I actually clicked on it?

That said, I dont see anything wrong with the article per se. Like it or not, cellphones are the new phone, and landlines MAY completely disappear in our lifetime, kinda like the typewriter. "Fluff" news stories draw more hits than real news.
