but i do like the catsup to be room temp before putting it on stuff...the reason you cooked the food it is going on is to make it hot. cold heinz just cools the food too much.
how about pert two of this question...
do you shake it before using it, or let the watery stuff drain off somewhere???

All condiments in the fridge. If one gets left out, I toss it. I don't care if the label leads one to believe that it's okay at room temperature.
However, my rule obviously gets thrown out the window when I use the never refrigerated stuff at a restaurant. I'm hypocritical like that.

well doesnt it change once its refrigerated? i know ketchup can be left out but lasts longer if its friged....
btw what the heck are we talkin about ketchup? WHAT ABOUT MUSTARD?!?! i like spicy mustard ;) fridge that stuff too!!

I prefer to leave it out. My roommate always puts it back in the fridge though. I hate cold ketchup...
It has enough vinegar in it that you dont need to keep it cold. less ketchup in the fridge = more beer in the fridge...
the choice is easy.
Oh, and I buy the largest ketchup bottle available..almost everytime.
