I've called up 2 so far, they both had different answers. one said come in immediatly (which got me scared) and the other said oh she doesn't have to get vaccinated till 8 weeks. then my fiance called one and said "puppies that were born at home opposed to being kept in a store don't need shots" which I thought was effing crazy

They all really should have their shots. I believe it is normally within the first few weeks (the 8 week answer could be the correct one) but you should check with a vet. And not this kind of vet:
We are getting ready to look for a beagle puppy. We will go through one of the local shelters here since they are already spayed/neutered and have all their first shots when you take them home. So I really havent looked in to the specifics on when the first ones occur.

im actually considering this thing that petco is doing its 49$ package for all there vaccination shots. the 8week one 10 week and 12week including rabies shot aswell. thats not too bad im gonna look more into that one

i would vaccinate your dog with a 5-way vaccine, which usually is a combination of adenovirus cough and hepatitis, distemper, parainfluenza, and parvovirus.
when your dog is 12 weeks or older, then it can get the rabies shot.

i agree with toveveryhour, when we got our yorkie they already had the shots up to date. And i want to say she looks so cute... also why in the world did they give you the dog without the shots and before she was 8 weeks old. everytime ive gotten a dog they had all that taken care of...

it was actually a friend of my fiances who had puppies and gave us one they're still with her till next week which is the puppy's 6th week, there trying to have it get use to normal puppy food and less needing of the mothers milk. so I read online at around 7/8 weeks we can get the vaccine shots, the 5 way shot and then the rabies after 12 weeks, so then that's all she needs??

I'm on the Banfield Wellness Plan, operating out of Petsmart. Basically I pay $26 a month, and my dog is covered for everything. It covers anesthesia, dental cleaning, x-rays, 2 physicals a year, and as many office visits as I want. Plus, they develop a schedule for your dog to get shots and vaccines, which are also covered. It's just one option available to you. I also know plenty of people with working/hunting dogs who do their own vaccines/shots, and don't worry about dental or other problems which may arise... which is fine considering those dogs are basically tools and can be replaced. They're not mistreating them or anything. My dog, like yours, is rather little, and is just more family than property.
Here's a vaccination schedule I found online, if it helps. http://longlivedogs.com/puppy_vaccinations.html
