Sony Cyber-shot HELP~ Internal Malfunction
Ok, I have to take my Cyber-Shot DSC-7W Camera somewhere to get it fixed.
There is an internal malfunction and I can't trouble shoot the fix.. So sony requests that i send it to them, but want to try not to send it anywhere to fix it.
To replace the camera it would cost $500, so I am thinking lets fix it.
the cost thru sony is an initial $181 then if its above and beyond the "repair quote" they let me know, but they will already have my camera, and i just don't feel comfortable do that. If its someting stupid that would only cost me a minimal amount to fix.
What a way to start the new year! F&*@#@~!!!!!!!!!

its not worth getting it fix. reason why i say that cause something that is just as good to that would run you $199.99 that would be a Sony DSC-W80. Now being that you bought Sony, this could be your first encounter with special Sony products. Like your memory card will not fit the new Sony.
I say and know all this cause i work at a best buy in the camera department. i see many people come in with cameras that have problems, i send them to geek squad to have them look at it and give them a est. they walk right back to me and say it will cost more than a new one. so thats what i would say to do. also the new camera will be smaller, lighter, thiner, longer battery than the rechargeable AA.
