Thats how the rural mail carriers convert their cars to run the routes,
and yes there are pedals moved to the right side as well. my baby bro. had to do this to his newest car because there was just too much bs to get another subaru with right hand steer imported into the USA>

Saddlesore, please tell my husband this when you see him next. He says all rural mail carriers (without the Subarus) just simply sit on the right and reach their feet to the pedals with their left foot. Same with the steering wheel. I told him there is some sort of kit or something that brings the pedals to the other side.

But of course he tells me 3 billion rural newspaper carriers go through his pick up window and he knows they do that for a fact. I say their is no way they could or should be driving that way.

I would say that whilst doing a rural mail route, you just stretch to reach them.

Many of the rural route delivery vehicles I've seen just leave their four-ways on, and the wipers are easily reachable. (And if you look carefully under the dash you can see part of the set-up of rods and levers for controlling the left side pedals from the right side.)

Or you could just look at this pic, for example...
