typical, a bsp owner getting an I-Phone... what a loser

hehe, jk you'll love it, but typing will get slower because of the touch.
I'm a BSP Owner. I got a G1. Kills an iPhone any Day.

G1 is a cool, but I don't have the patience to learn these devices. iPhone is simple and just plain works.

Buddy of mine has a Tilt and he digs unlocking and hacking it, putting on all different kinds of programs, I totally don't have the ability to sit there and tweak it.

iPhone does everything I need, it's compatible with the radio in my car, it downloads podcasts on the fly, if i see a program i like i click a button and it does everything i need. everything goes through itunes. maybe it costs more, maybe it's not as open and you can't do ANYTHING you want to it, but really I don't want to hack my phone to get it to do what I want, i just want it to do it already.

iPhone FTW

G1 is the Same. It runs the Android System, which means unlike Apple, who blocks any Apps that will Rival or Exceed their own, the G1 allows any App to be Published. Like Free Music.. Free Text.. etc. I guess the G1 is more like the Sophisticated iPhone. Haha'.

I also work and ATT and I can tell u that the iphone isnt all its cracked up to be. Had one for about a month and took it back.

No Multimedia messages
No zoom on the camera or flash
No video
The keyboard sucks (you shouldnt have to get used to it it should just work)
Cant get insurance on it
Battery life is horrible especially when using 3G
Cant change the battery w/o sending it in to apple
Stereo bluetooth is terrible
No expandable memory
No support for corporate email (only pop servers)
No pushed emails (like on a BB)
No VGA screen (only 320 X 240)
Everything has to be added through itunes
No support for editing powerpoint or excel files.

I could keep going but I think u get the point. Bottom line is the iphone is a toy. If you want a great phone get a BB Bold. It will run circles around an iphone.

Heck, any phone made by HTC now is going to be awesome, I have the AT&T Fuze and I have already cooked my own rom for it and have it customized exactly how I want it! I cant do that with an iPhone (even if it was jailbroken id still have some limitations)

Nooooo ... don't get one, I hate my Iphone. It crashes an average of three times a day, and applications will randomly just stop working for a few days. Most common the actual phone portion of it.

Save yourself some money and time, get the new blackberry from Verizon. Once I save up the $200 and change that is what I will be getting.

btw those two, the I-Phone. The BB touch is bulky and uncomfortable. The I-Phone, like EAmon said, is easy once you jailbreak it.

wow u people are relying and doing way too much on ur phone. All i need one for is what i do now with my Blackberry but with a few more options. I don't have a camera on my BB right now so just having a camera will be an upgrade. I've got a camera that cost $3000 so i don't need a 2mpx cell phone camera.

I don't need to crappy looking video with a cell phone. and I don't need to be able to call ET in outer space with my phone.

I just need to be able to send and receive text messages, browse the internet without it taking forever, and get e-mail through my phone.

So for me to be able to do that and have it do all the ipod features and all the applications, then that is pretty much a bonus enough for me.

IMO iphone isnt all that great but that depends on what you would use it for... if you're mostly an ipod guy then go for it but if you're more of the texter or emailer then go for it...

there are some things that you cant do with an iphone like forward text messages, copy and paste off your phone, you cant send pics or movies... its pretty much an ipod with a crap phone...

for me, i had a blackberry and was capable to do a lot of things... i receive email instantly, send pics or video, IM bc on the iphone you have to actually be on the AIM app in order to stay signed in...

like i said, i had a blackberry then bought an iphone... had it for a week and a half then got a new blackberry

its really up for what you plan to do with the phone
