The one for sale in PPC is out of 318_tc's car. I really dont think he had ZPI build it. Its mostly Dezod parts from what I'm told. I'm planning on picking that up as well as an AEM EMS. If that works out I'll be selling my FI/C.

Bryn...I'm really happy with the F/IC for now, so I will build first, and hopefully by then, AEM will fully support the tC with their EMS. But were'r talking down the road.
Well I am considering the Hydra EMS as well..... I guess I could build first too considering I am running the F/IC also but I just thought the need for standalone management was paramount with a built motor turning up the boost

I would say it is...but then again the Puerto Rico guys are pushing over 500whp on a built block and the emanage ultimate.

If I had a crappier piggy back, or none at all, I'd go EMS first. And if I knew the full standalones were only another $1K over the F/IC, AND if I had a local tuner who knew the tC, I'd have gone with one of hte EMS instead of the F/IC...but I didnt'.

Now I have the F/IC, and I'm more then happy with it ... for now.

well I have Tony Palo local to me so that is my main reasoning for getting the Standalone first.... but he will tune my F/IC also.... so you think I should build first? I know Paul and those exprienced guys will say Standalone first.... plus when built I will still need to upgrade my fuel system before really putting down some numbers, so I think the managment will come first

Are you arleady boosted? Do you already have the F/IC? Is it already installed?

My whole thing is, it would be a waste to get the F/IC just to ditch it for the EMS. Like I said, if I was better informed from teh start, I would have started with teh EMS and skipped teh F/IC alltogether.

If you can sell your F/IC, or maybe see if whoever you bought it from will take it back or trade up to the AEM EMS, I'd do that.

I think dezod has the only one that is setup to work with the tC. It's about $2K

Looks like when they realigned my Injen, it's touching my bumper a bit.
Do you think i shoudl take it back and have them fix it or should I just cut that little chunk out?

OK, here's an update on the latest issues with my car:

First of all, I was changing the oil the other week, and when I raised my car, my Hothckis bumpstops crumbled out of the shocks! Gotta get a new set from Hotchkis...I think they said it was like $12...guess I'm taking some bumps to hard!

Next is my new 2.5 midpipe for my exhaust...I LOVE the sound, but it's WAY loud as I have absolutley NO CATS and NO RESONATORS anymore and I had them put a flex pipe in there cause the motor movement kept loosening my v-band:

and here it is connected to my old INjen axleback:

here you can see how close it is to the bumper now, it's burned it a bit:

Last issue...I put the bigger 5.9psi WG spring in, and even with the boost controller turned off, it was creeping up to 7.9...felt REAL good, but I'm not really tuned for that.
I'm thinking this is why:

In case you don't know...that is what your WG looks like with the top half removed (the spring sits in there). But that orange rubber piece is actually the diaphram that moves the center piece up and down. It's kinda folded over, and now pretty much melted that way, so I think it's leaking a bit.

What do ya'll think?

i like your new exhaust setup, phil. i think your assessment of the WG diaphragm sounds reasonable. i'm sure having the rubber piece folded over can't be a good thing haha

Yeah, I put the .25bar (how's that, Brett! ) in last night and with the boost controller turned off, it wend up to 5.7psi (.4bar)

I'm wondering if I can just swap out the diaphram, or if I need a whole new WG.
