well, first of all, I think you can do better then ksports...cory likes them cause they are currently the only option for the xB!

well, I had 18x8.5 with a 35 offset and I rubbed like crazy on my hotchkis drop. I'd say 18x8 and a 40-45 offset.

now back to me...Todd called my tonight...it's not looking good.
bad 02 sensor replaced, tried different f/ic, trying different harness, may need to try a different ECU!
It seems my ECU is not accepting the changes made by the F/IC, just kinda freaking out...we may even try a greddy unit if we can't figure it out...

phil, after all the issues i went through back when the car wouldn't start at all with the kit on, i doubt it's your ECU. it just seems unlikely that your individual ECU would be resistant to FICs considering how many other people are running it. what exactly is the problem you're having that's prompting todd to look at your parts? is it an A/F mixture problem? what are you guys trying to fix?

ok so I'm gonna go with volk te37s 18x8 with 40 offset. Now the question is what tires??? I want some really grippy kine that are good for DD too! Suggestions?

try starting your car without the f/ic if it runs properly then obviously it's not the ecu.

java toyo proxes 4 is sticky and good for DD, all seasoned too and good wet traction... good for hawaii coz theres no snow where it sucks but if you want you can still go 18x8 w/ 35 offset, that is my setup and the front looks nice, the rear needs a to be a lil flushed but im gonna have to roll the fender.. or you can get 18x8.5 w/ 45 offset and run wider tires maybe 235 all around and if it rubs crazy put some 225 back and you'll be good. you're not gonna rub as much if not at all since you will have stiffer coilovers..

seem like your car have bad spirits meaty.. hope its all gonna be figured out or else maybe a standalone will be your only option

the reason im going with k sport is because they are re-buildable and others arent. im going to be beating them up autocrossing and id rather replace a broken part then buy a whole new one.

so the verdict onmy rims if all goes well is going to be volk te37's 18x8 40 offset wrapped in toyo proxes 4?

sounds good to all? right now im still on h-tech springs so im all good! no rubbing for sure! my car is skying with the 17's on right now!

Why not just get celica GT-S bilstein shocks if you want rebuildable? K-sports are garbage for actual racing.

I'm not hateing the ksport, might get some myself, just thing there are better options for not much more dough for teh tC.

I'd go with a 235 if you can find the right fitment...1010tires.com has a calculator to help with fitment.
I like the Kumho Ecsta Supra or the Kumho Ecsta SPT as well as the Falken azenis.
I think those are all summer tires, so no snow...

The problem is that no matter what changes we make, the ecu will not take them, so he thinks it might be bad.
my primary 02 sensor was bad enough to not send proper signals but not bad enough to through a CEL so if that electronic is bad, others could be as well. And unplugging the F/IC would not prove anything because the ECU is running fine, it's just not making the changes the F/IC is sending to it.

In any event, bottom line is I may not be getting my car back this Saturday, which is fine because I've been carpooling with my father-in-law who works 2 blocks away, and I get to drive the Chrysler Aspen with the hemi!

oh, I'm sure there are, but I've only been to discounttiredirect.com, edgeracing.com, bigwheels.net and tirerack.com
I think my next set will be from wcmotoring.com cause they are local and they usually have the local race guys from lvracingscene.com meet there.
