could you really get on it that first night?
it pulls hard in first but then there is like a major fuel lag or something when i shift. like it needs the injectors or a bigger pump.
i got on maybe 4 or 5 times, then i was dude its way too lean. and i gave it at least 24hrs before i gassed it.
and i only went to about 5000

So is tapping th oilpan a necessity it sounds like everyone is doing it , is that just for good measure or should I start looking for a welding shop ?? Has anyone looked into getting a different hood, I would like to get a revers cowl but I have no Idea how CF does with heat and what kind of clearence we get with the manifold

you have to tap the oil pan to return the oil from the turbo.
reverse cowl hook will not work with the TT manifold because it sticks up to high and the reverse cowl goes into the engine bay.

and i'm not sure how cf sticks up with heat either.

olaHalo, you forget, I had the 3.5psi spring in!

griff:
well, you have to do SOMETHING wiht the oil pan. You could tap it yourself, but if your gonna take it to a shop, you may as well have them weld it.

And I looked into getting a different hood as well. The viniatti reverse cowl will not fit. I was looking at the seibon vs2, with the upper vent, and I posted a thread about CF hoods and heat.
What I found out was that CF hoods have fiberglass skeletons, so they would probably melt.
Other guys with other turbo kits have CF hooods (like rhytmnsmoke) and they don't melt, but the CF laminate comes off, or something, and has to be resurfaced every so often.
But for the price of a good vented CF hood, you should be able to have a body shop cut and weld a metal vent onto your stock hood.

YO!
Hieu just called me and said he found another tuner, and he's really close to my house over on Sunset and Dean Martin.

He said it was Clark from Vivid Racing, but I thought they were in Chandler AZ. I don't know what's up, but were gonna try a cruize by to see what's up.
When are you going to Dougs Dyno?

sounds good, but like I said, I didnt' find any info about "vivid tuning" in vegas. I DID however find a thread on a subie forum about a group deal for tunes at doug's dyno when Clark Turner was there back in January!

Just out of curiosity, why would you post up in a Turbo Toyotas Las Vegas thread about DC? You know we are on opposite sides of the country, right?

But there weren't any tuners in Vegas with tC experience either, but we're doing OK...I guess!

Posted here because Ya'll are running the same Kit I have.

And hell you never know.

So you got any contact info on the palce in NY or how to get ahold of dezod. I would be more than happy to drive up there , although I am not to keen driving 400 miles without a good fuel map , will it do anything besides burning up gas
