look at the pics on the last page.. my intercooler protrudes out the bottom about 2 inches and is damn close to the ground. i can drive it just not over speed bump!! even the small ones im scared of! the ic is jsut to many rows its two big, on page 79 i compared mine to phils.. mines bigger by 4 rows..

so you have a bigger intercooler? is that why? maybe if you shaved off the little nipples on the top.
i kept mine on and thats why its lower than phils.
phil has no nipples

you wont need slim fans becasue you have the shorty manifold and the turbo wont need the clerance space.

and matt.. thanks for the pics and yeah thats what mine should look like.. just like yours because you didnt cut off the nipples either.

np java. ya i have the nipples on the top and bottom. it sits fine to me.

phresh
so you got the Ver 2 manifold? isnt the only difference between the basik kits and the stage 1 the manifold and turbo?
if you got the new mani im sure todd will send you everything you need with it. so if you need fans, hell give them to ya

don't wait, just go cut the crash bar, a bit more work but at least you wont' be scared.

actually, it won't be that hard...see if you can take the crash bar off, bring it to a shop and have them just cut a portion off for like 20 bucks

yeah, i say keep the bigger IC and cut the crash bar. But tha'ts just me.

phresh, not sure what your talking about upgrading the basic kit...there is only one manifold for it, and you should not need slim fans for it. Our mani don't work with that kit due to turbo AND external WG.

If that's the case, you will most likely need t move the fans, but as no one has seen the version 2 EL mani yet, we can't be sure. But Todd said it's just shorter. I guess it also depends on the size of the turbo. Todd would be the only one that knows for sure.

my turbo wasn't even the reason i had to move everything, it was the wastegate placement.
