wheni tell you why you will laugh..
when we marked the pan with the dump tube on it looked like a good area.. then after we bolted everything down the dump tube hits the oil return line, basically we marked it in the wrong area.. haha i am going to have to have the dump tube cut and welded on a slightly different angle.. im an idiot. but yeah heres a status on whats going on with me:
1. need a smaller ic from todd (i dont want to cut the factory crash bar). i also need new clamps for my 90 coupler (both were to small) and new clamps for my turbo to intake pipe (both were way to big)..
2. tweak everything this weekend for better fitment and install my vaccum block.
3. finish installing all my gauges so they are usefull!
4. install emange/injectors then tune! hopefully i will recieve everything before this weekend.
5. get my dash 10 bung from D&M hydrolics and have it welded to fix my small oil leak from the return line.
and 6. enjoy my turbo.
i also got a cel:
DTC P0171 Fuel Trim System Lean Bank 1
is this because i am still running my stock injectors??
Phil, see'er of all, knower of all.. please help me!!! haha

I got that same CEL. Fixed after injectors and tune...your good if you only got that one!
Oh, and in the mean time, just take a dremel or hacksaw and saw yoru dumptube off at that last bend. This is EXACTLY what happened to me and that is what I did for now. You can always get another piece welded at that point, but it will put yoru exhaust further toward the bottom of your engine bay. If not, your **** is gonna get FILTHY!
Damn, dude...I TOLD you to mound the mani, WG and tube BEFORE tapping the oil pan! Oh well, you'll geterdone.
Oh, and if one set of couplers are to small and the others are to big, can't you just swap them?

the part that's connected to the actual turbo, just turn that a little bit to the right and let the line freely correct itself then screw the top portion back on.....or other way around, either way there should be smooth curves, not sharp ones like that
#1616
actually, an even easier way...if you're lazy is to take the oil feed flange off, and let the line just swing the natural way that it's formed and then attach the flange back on once it's corrected.

meh?
theres a portion of the line that's lying under the manifold. it looks like a sharp almost 90 degree turn, that would cause the oil to flow all weird and crappy like. and cause clogs.
as long as it's a slow gradual curve, or a straight line then you are fine.
steel braided lines have a tendency to ccrease when they are coupled with sharp turns and have high temp liquids going through them.
