What is the best AIR FRESHINER?
#61
Squash...i wouldn't say it smells like sprite.
it does has a fresh lime type smell.
just get it, it's worth it.
they come in a chalk like stick.
so they'll last pretty long.
i used Yankee Candle's Clean Cotton,
that smelt good and all,
but didn't last for anything.

I have Air Spencer Squash in my car now, but before that I had a Yankee Candle Macintosh gel thing, and that thing was awesome, it really freakin' worked! However, IMO those Yankee Candle tree type air freshners don't work for ****!!!

I bought leather seats - they don't smell like Sprite®
I like the new car smell, then later on, something kinda spicy is cool.
Did you get the car Fabreeze® in an auto-parts store or the market?

If you use the in-cabin air filter (it's behind the glovebox)...then you could do what I do.
In the air-filters aisle of any local supermarket, they make these scented inserts that attach to air-filters for use in your home. I bought one of those and used it with the in-cabin air filter of my Scion. Everytime I turn on the air conditioning, you get blasted with vanilla. Lasts for a decent amount of time too.
And if you don't use the in-cabin air filter...then you should. I was surprised at how much crap I found in that thing the first time I changed it.
****EDIT: DANG MODS HAD TO MOVE THIS TO A FORUM THAT I CANNOT POST TO...SO THE ONLY WAY I CAN REPLY IS TO EDIT WHAT I ALREADY POSTED. I AM REPLYING TO THE NEXT POST BELOW. THANK YOU*********
Is your post referring to my post about the in-cabin air filter? I haven't heard anything bad at all about it...and nor have I experienced anything bad. It's just a filter for your air conditioner...I'm not sure what harm could come of it. In some places it's actually advertised as a 'feature' of your car.
And all Toyotas come with the in-cabin air filter SLOT, but not the actual filter. I checked my friends' Celica and sure enough she had the filter slot behind her glove compartment.
And finally, Toyota doesn't give you a filter (unless you happen to have a really nice dealer) because they can rape you another $25 for the official Toyota-brand one if you ask for one. (but the other point here is that Toyota actually has a filter they can sell you...meaning there is a part number...meaning this is something that was meant to be used. I don't think they'd do that if would end up wrecking yer car).

I'm not so sure...why would they sell the tC without one? People have said that it might cause problems...I have to find out more on this.

at any given time, this is what you may find in my mustang... new car scent A/C vent clip thingy, tommy scent tree (leaf actually ), bath and body works (men's line) cool spring spray, eagle one nautical scent, red zone aqua reef body spray (favorite), febreeze, or mountain medley gel skoal-can looking thingy. right now it's the tommy leaf and the new car vent clip with 2 new car scent trees under both the seats. i like it when people ride with me and tell me my car smells good. oh, and shower. that helps.
