It goes from understeer due to having no weight in the front... to snap oversteer from having a rear-biased mid-engine placement, and someone who doesn't know how to drive a car with the engine in the back. You see this phenomenon more prominently in Porsche's than anything.

well, actually, toyota tuned the suspension for more understeer to give the driver more confidence in the car since they might be overwhelmed by the car feeling too responsive and easy to oversteer.

and porsches are much more known for oversteer because they are rear engined as opposed to mid engined (in the case of the 911)

The problem with that, though, is that once people DID get the confidence to handle the car, they'd drive it like it was front-engined. "Oh, I'm understeering through the corner, I'll just lift a little," and then they'd be facing backwards.

so do we now pronounce it Toylotus or toyLoTa

that sounds sexy having a 2GR in a vehicle other then a camry or a avalon.

nah the lotus cars of late are made by toyota standard and they have been for a lil while...

my point was that the Lotus Evora is a V6 VVT-i 3.5 liter whereas you guys where saying they just have Celica engines (which is true for the lotus Elise)

Just a difference of "which lotus?"

People RARELY see Esprits, but far more often see the Elise/Exige. The Evora is literally a brand-spanking new model that hasn't hit the roads yet.

I sometimes question why they went with the 2zz. Why not the honda s2k motor, a-la atom?
