I have a bulging disk at my L4/L5 pushing agianst the sciatic nerve root that I will be getting surgery on in the next month or so. Just curious is anyone has had the same thing done how you felt after the surgery and how long recovery was. As of now I have a constant ache down my right leg and have very limited flexibilty so Im hoping I will be close to 100% after the procedure. I have my 1st appointment on Wednesday at Kerlan Jobe to talk about the surgery so I dont know if they will be able to do arthroscopic or have to make a larger incision.

i feel for ya, been playin hockey since i was 6. ive had multiple surgeries,injuries,etc.
I have constant back spasms, but have not had surgery or disc issues (yet)
my dad had herniated disc, had a back fusion....came out soo much better
im sure the surgery will help you, and you'll be back to normal in a few months

just dont rush ur rehab, relax and you'll get better when your body wants you too

but good luck with the surgery!!!
