If my Scion Badge was chrome, I would have kept it on my
box. But to help give my box's rear end the clean look, and
to make it easier to wash and wax it's back side.
It was cool, took me all of 120 seconds with my pocket knife
to get both the Scion badge and the xB badge off. They are
now on my dash (didn't know what else to do).

I took the "GEO" off my first vehicle which was a Geo Tracker like 6 years ago, then took off the "Sunfire" and "Pontiac" crap on my Sunfire......... now I've taken off the "tC" in the back of my tC...... I just think it looks better

I took off my dealership sticker and my xB emblem, because:
1) With them on, its a pain to wash/wax
2) I'm a big fan of symmetry, and having a big xB on one side, and nothing or a small dealer sticker on the other side wasn't cutting it for me
3) I may be tossing on some Mercedes symbols and try to convince people it's a new

I debadged mine because I think it looks better that way. Eventually I will remove the rear Scion badge and fill and paint the dent.
Even with my badges on, people still couldn't figure it out.

Mine is in the body shop right now getting the rear Scion emblem filled in. That piece that the emblem is attached to is plastic and removable.
If I ever wanted to put my badges back on all I would have to do is buy a new center hatch piece.

I need to see a BSP tC that has the emblems taken off, because I'm just afraid that the black paint won't match up, and you'll be able to tell that something went there. People already look at my car like wtf is that, lol I love it when they do that.

I think a better question would be "Why do people tolerate having advertising on their car?", becuase that's what the badging really is.
There was a DEALERSHIP badge on the xB when we bought it. It was there less than 24 hours, I'll tell you what...

When I got mine, just before I "signed on the dotted line", I looked at the salesman and said "just to be abosolutely clear, there aren't going to be any dealer stickers/badges/emblems or any of that crap on my new car, right?" In my book, that's a deal breaker, unless it comes off pretty damn easily (though dealers around here are partial to using paint rather than stickers)
They did put on a license plate frame with the dealer name, which stayed on for 24 hours. The tC was there for about 5 days before I removed it. I just think the rear looks cleaner without it. Especially on a dark color.
I may paint the front and rear Scion badges with a black metallic, but I haven't decided just yet.

I prefer the clean look and that why I debadged mine.
For those people who are removing their back Scion logo and getting it filled in..How much is it costing you??
I am very interested in doing this as a future mod.

I have to agree with wedgiesaurus. Its a pain in the butt to try to wash and wax around them, and I too love that symmetrical look. I plan on debadging mine once I get the Rs 1 grille on my xA. RS1 has no front emblem, but it still looks good. And for some people who are into heavily modding their car, especially when it comes to the body, your beginning and ending product could look completely different. You could have people saying that's not a Scion, OK maybe not that different but still, its just another form of customization and setting your ride off from everyone elses. I honestly don't think it will make it any harder for cops, they already don't understand what it is with the emblems on LOL. I hardly think it makes the car look Generic, if anything having them on makes them generic, because they all come like that. To me it would seem that not having them gives the car a new face in a slight sense. That's just my opinion.
