Default Will clear resin bleed through vinyl ?

Looking to do a custom project of my own and was looking to wrap a plastic piece in vinyl with a specific pattern on it, after applying it I want to apply a few coats of Clear Resin to give it a little depth in looks. But will it bleed through the vinyl or even worst not stick to it ? Also in the future would it be removable?

Going to give it a try, I was just thinking I will try skipping the vinyl and going straight for a clear krylon instead on one test sample, because once that resin settles in, I think its going to be tough to rip it off the plasti if the time comes.

im working with vinyl but im not sure about the resin... you could clearcoat it.. any question PM me...

btw u want cf look vinyl?

resin... does it has to be warm to lay it on a surface? or maybe hot?
what part u want to wrap?

u might need to use vinyl promoter .. so the vinyl will not let go because of the heat..

yup currently looking to wrap the interior 6 pillars and the waterfalls on the center console possibly , But I want to give it a plastic look to give it an authentic look, having trouble finding some realistic carbon fiber vinyl for a good price,

well..

what is the 6 pillars?
you mean a b and c pillars?

i wrapped my center console...... if u have overlaminate on it.. it will give you some glossy look..

im not sure about the resin.. but regular clearcoat would be good imho...

i could try the clearcoat next week!!!! i just get some leftovers from the garage.. i have some duplikolor clearcoat.. i wrap something... and clearcoat it. and i will tell you the results...

about the cf.. yeah.. i had a big fight about this with a few ppl.. i just posted it up two days ago that im gonna get some japanase CF vinyl thru hungary... and why is that because:

ALL the cf look cinyl what u can get online is MAXIMUM 24 or 30 inch wide... which is good for NOTHING.. yeah.. u could wrap your center console.. but if you want to wrap a hood... trunk.. or the whole car... maybe doors etc.. u cant do that seamless with the american cf vinyl...

the vinyl what i could get is 54 inch wide!!!! you could wrap seamless anything with that.. and about the look .. my hungarian friend said: its UNBELIVABLE... they went to the car show and everybody tought its real cf hood..

soo... hes gonna send me a sample.. if its really that good.. i have to find like.. 10 ppl to buy some cf stuff because 1 roll of that cf vinyl cost more than a full car paintjob!!!!!!!!!!!!!! im not kidding!!! only the roll itself!!!!

so if you are interested about the cf vinyl then keep in touch!!!
